Salman Taseer punjab governer was mereded by his own security guard Mumtaz Qadri in Islamabad sector F-6 on 4th January, as he went there for lunch with his friend, he was murederd by his own guard whose duty was to provide security to governer but he murdered him by firing him 27 bullets, 22 bullets were taken out from him in post martem..Funeral prayers were offered at Governor House attended by thousands of people including government officials, political leaders and other persons from every walk of life and has been laid to rest with all national honour in Shuhada Cemetery at Cavalry Ground..
FIR of the assassination of Governor Salman Taseer has been registered in Kohsar police station..
