Federal Minister for Minorities Affairs Shahbaz Bhatti, was murdered by armed men in a white Mehran in Islamabad sector I-8 at the time when he was leaving his mother's house in his car to attend the Federal Cabinet meeting on Wednesday morning. The driver of Shehbaz Bhatti said that the police security squad was not with him at that time when the minister visited his mother..Tehrek-e-Taliban has accepted responsibility of the assassination.
